The Hornsea & District Hospital War Memorial Challenge Cup, more popularly known as the Tanton Cup (named after P.C. Tanton Esq, who donated the trophy in 1922), returns for its 103rd anniversary season.
First contested in the 1922/23 season, the competition was originally established to raise funds for Hornsea’s War Memorial Hospital. Over the years, it has become one of the oldest and most respected football cup competitions in the East Riding, continuing to bring together local clubs from North Holderness
