Hassan Bassam, a former Longcroft School pupil who went on to achieve a BA in Mathematics & Astrophysics at Cambridge University says Labour best reflect his views.
Speaking about the upcoming general election, Mr. Bassam who is 22-years old says he will be voting Labour raising concerns over the poverty and health.
Harvey Rann who is 19 says he will be voting Labour in election and not re-electing a government who he says are intent on keeping the poor on their knees.
Mr. Rann, a former student at Longcroft School who is currently studying law and will be voting for the second time in his life.
Taking place on 8 June, people throughout the country will have their chance to vote for the new government.
If you want to vote in the General Election, then you need to register, a simple process taking less than a couple of minutes, by 11.59PM on the 22 May.
MP Graham Stuart says he is honoured after he confirmed he was reselected to represent the Conservative Party in June’s General Election.
Mr. Stuart who enjoys a commanding majority is the odds on favourite to retain his seat for the third time and looking to represent Beverley & Holderness for the fourth time.
The Liberal Democrats have announced they would plug funding gaps for the NHS and social care by putting a penny on income tax, in their first major manifesto commitment of the election campaign.
They claim the increase in tax would raise an additional £56m for the East Riding, with £44m for the NHS and £12m for social care each year.

Made on Tuesday, the post asks for people with a spare couple of hours to get in touch and deliver 100 leaflets to homes in the Beverley & Holderness area.
Johanna Boal from Beverley, has been selected as Labour’s Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the Beverley and Holderness constituency for the General Election on 8 June.
Mrs Boal said she wants to restore hope to people’s lives that have been ruined by the ‘cynical and cruel Tories’ that she says have slashed spending locally.
A briefing session is to be held for candidates and agents who are considering standing in the general election.
The session is being organised by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and is for prospective candidates and agents for the constituencies of Beverley and Holderness; Haltemprice and Howden; and East Yorkshire.
The Liberal Democrats have moved swiftly to confirm East Riding councillor, Denis Healy, as their prospective candidate for the General Election on 8th June.
Mr. Healy will be hoping that he can win what is widely regarded as a Conservative ‘safe seat’ from the incumbent MP Graham Stuart.
