A post put on Social Media appealing for members of the public to volunteer to deliver leaflets for Conservative MP has triggered some interesting responses.

Made on Tuesday, the post asks for people with a spare couple of hours to get in touch and deliver 100 leaflets to homes in the Beverley & Holderness area.

One user wanted to know if the leaflets were ‘Strong and Stable’ a slogan the Prime Minster, Teresa May seems intent on repeating at every opportunity.

Another user suggested the MP should get out there and deliver his own leaflets to constituents!

Mr. Stuart who has a massive majority of over 12,000 is the odds on favourite to retain his seat in Beverley & Holderness which he first won in 2005.

Since then, high profile campaigns and his work in the constituency have seen him continue to build public support with people appreciating his accessibility.

However the MP does have strong competition from Liberal Democrat when it comes to delivering political material to homes in the area.

Mr. Healy who won a bi-election to be elected onto East Riding of Yorkshire Council after he put in the leg work delivering countless leaflets and newsletters to residents, and they still continue to arrive.

Thanks to his supporters Mr. Healy was able to become the only non Conservative Councillor representing Beverley at County Hall.

Residents in Beverley & Holderness will have the opportunity to vote for their MP on 8 June after the government called a snap election as they look to tighten their grip and increase their overall numbers in the Houses of Parliament.

Being billed as the ‘Brexit’ election,  government claims they are the only option when it comes to negotiating with Europe have been rebuffed by the members states with Jean-Claude Juncker reported to have said Theresa May is ‘On Another Galaxy’.

Other candidates who are trying to win what is safe seat for the Conservatives include Richard Howarth – Green Party, Lee Walton – , – Labour Party.
