Young Voters Matter – Local Nurse Highlights NHS As Key Concern

A young Nurse from Beverley has outlined why she will be voting Labour in the general elections on 8 June saying the NHS is her biggest concern.

The 25 year old who asked not to be named also says she is worried about her future as the UK leaves the EU to stand on its own two feet.

Speaking to .net she said;

“I have voted in every local and general election, I can’t very well complain if I haven’t had my say can I? This time I will be voting for Labour.”

Explaining her reasons, she says the richest people should be paying more, she said;

“My biggest concerns are for the NHS and education funding. I cannot imagine the impact of a privatised health service.”

“We are very lucky in this country to have the NHS and I feel it needs protecting. I believe that the richest people in our societies should pay more.”

“I am uncertain when it comes to the future of the UK. I worry if I’ll ever be able to afford a comfortable lifestyle. I worry how leaving the EU will effect our economy. I am worried about the prospect of war and the threat from terrorism.”

“I can’t say what will or will not happen in the future but there is a lot of fear mongering in the media and it’s certainly worrying me.”

 “The percentage of people who don’t vote is enough to make a huge difference, thats is why it is important to vote.  In order for change to happen people need to vote for what they believe.”

“I could accept a Conservative victory if it was a true representation of what the whole country wanted. Furthermore, I feel as a woman I should exercise my right to vote and it is for that reason that I do.”

Theresa May went back on her word calling a snap election as she seeks the endorsement from the nation ahead of talks between the UK and the EU.

Taking place on 8 June people have until the 22 May to register to vote in what some are saying is the most important election to take place in the UK.
