Team Sally Issues Rallying Cry For Help To Surpass £25k Target

An owner of a popular seafood restaurant brand in Hull and Beverley has called for fundraising help as a team looks to pass a £25,000 target for Dove House Hospice in memory of Sally Marshall and Julie Lang.

Tina Cerutti, who runs Cerutti ‘2’ in Beverley, has been part of Team Sally, which has raised more than £24,000 so far for the local hospice which provides levels of care and support beyond the call of duty.

Paul Earnshaw, of Castle Lodge Court, Rothwell, Leeds, put up 10 signs on the public highway without permission in May this year advertising the events at Beverley Racecourse.

East Yorkshire Council Secure Millions In EU Funding

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has secured over £6.5 million of European Funding to support community development, business growth and enterprise along the Yorkshire Coast, with the majority of funds to be targeted at Bridlington and Scarborough.

A report, due to be considered by East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Cabinet on Tuesday, 17 October, sets out how the Yorkshire Coast Community Led Local Development (CLLD) Programme will be delivered, in partnership with Scarborough Borough Council, and will give local organisations and businesses the opportunity to apply for project grants from the European Social Fund and the European Regional Development Fund.

A landlord in Goole has to pay £2,638 after failing to licence a property in multiple occupation as well as failing to comply with fire safety regulations.

Alison Asadi-Aghdam, 54, of Sutton Street, Goole, appeared at Beverley Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 4 October, where she pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to license a property operating as a house in multiple occupation and another offence of failing to comply with management of houses in multiple occupation regulations in relation to fire safety.

New Walking Sports Sessions To Be Held In Bridlington

Following a successful launch of walking netball and football in Bridlington by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Sport, Play and Arts Service the sessions are to continue free of charge until early November.

The new walking netball and walking football sessions will take place at East Riding Leisure Bridlington where they were launched earlier this month as part of Older People’s Day with a view to demonstrating that age is no obstacle playing sport and meeting new people.
