AFC Tickton Pirates Backed By Local Business Raise Cash For Defibrillator

AFC Tickton Pirates have expressed their gratitude to local businesses who supported them in their fund raising efforts to buy a defibrillator to be placed at Longcroft School.

The Pirates, who play in the U11s Hull Boys Sunday Football League raised cash by holding a Tombola at their end of season presentation night.

Intelligence led raids have resulted in the search of properties and outbuildings and is part of an ongoing operation to target individuals suspected of links with criminal networks and wanted in connection with violent crime, out of town drug dealing, money laundering and ‘cuckooing.’

Removal Of Sunken Vessels From The River Hull Completed

Contractors working on behalf of East Riding of Yorkshire Council have removed 13 sunken vessels from the River Hull, between Tickton and Beverley Beck, during the month of September.

Removing the vessels was an operational requirement of the multi-million-pound River Hull Integrated Catchment Strategy (RHICS), which was adopted by the River Hull Board in July 2015.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has commissioned a colossal artwork by Gary Saunt, which goes on display free of charge at the Treasure House in Beverley on Saturday, 21 October, as the latest stage of its contribution to Hull UK City of Culture 2017

The huge digital painting – measuring over 20 metres in length – has been produced to celebrate the transformational impact of this cultural event on Hull and the East Riding. Gary’s artwork takes the viewer on a cultural pilgrimage from Beverley to Hull.
