Cycling Academy Event At Beverley Memorial Hall

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is joining forces with partners across Europe in a project that aims to reduce CO2 emissions and increase bicycle use by 10 per cent within targeted groups.

The council is hosting the first Bicycles and Intelligent Transport Systems (BITS) Cycling Academy in Beverley on Thursday 26 September, with the aim of bringing together anyone interested in smart cycling and the use of intelligent transport systems to increase the uptake and safety of cycling.

Residents Being Urged To Sign Up To Council Tax Paperless Billing

East Riding of Yorkshire Council always aims to be at the forefront of introducing innovative ways to improve residents’ experience of using its services.

In December 2018, a paperless billing system was introduced to give householders the option of viewing their bills online, rather than receiving them through the post.  The decision was made to move to paperless billing to reduce the amount of paper printed, which is better for the environment.

Inspirational presenter, speaker and Paralympian Steve Brown will be in Beverley later this month as he joins in the events ahead of the Yorkshire 2019 Para-Cycling International.

Steve, who is a presenter on programmes such as Countryfile and Springwatch, will be in Saturday Market on Saturday, 21 September to cheer on the para-athletes as they leave Beverley and race to Harrogate.
