Rehearsals are underway at the East Riding Theatre in Beverley, for Laura Turner’s magical stage adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic coming of age novel, Little Women.

Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women continues to inspire audiences through the tale of four young sisters Meg, Jo, Amy and Beth as we follow their adventures through their struggles with family, love, individuality and finding their place in the world as they grow into Little Women.

The refurbishment will require the removal of all the sails and the fantail and their transportation to a traditional millwright in Norfolk where they will be stripped and carefully examined for rot and other damage and then restored to their former glory.

Man Arrested Following A Collision On Grovehill Road

A man has been arrested following a collision on Grovehill Road in Beverley at 2.45 pm on Thursday 21 November.

A black BMW collided with a parked car causing one to come to rest on top of a Vauxhall Corsa.  No one has reported any injuries and the driver of the BMW fled the scene.
