Hodgsons biggest win of the season came at the expense of AFC Goods Office of Goole. In the previous encounter Goods Office came out top 4-2, so Hodgsons knew this was going to be a very tough match. Mill Lane United secured bragging rights over Hodgsons FC by knocking their local rivals out of the cup.
