AFC Goods Office Vs Hodgsons FC

Hodgsons biggest win of the season came at the expense of AFC Goods Office of Goole. In the previous encounter Goods Office came out top 4-2, so Hodgsons knew this was going to be a very tough match.

The scoreline would suggest the very opposite. The tanners went a goal down after just 2 minutes. Slack defending at the back saw a Goods player sneak in behind the Hodgsons back four and finish calmly.

After this goal Hodgsons were a totally different team. They pushed forward at every opportunity and always looked likely to get back into the match sooner rather than later.

The equliser came from the left foot of . Ben Daniels put Hodgsons 2-1 up flicking in Chris Robinsons long throw-in. A further goal came from Tyler and a double strike from put the tanners 5-1 up at half time.

More of the same was to follow in the 2nd half. Scott-Jon Tyler was replaced by , and Dexter managed a brace himself. Foster also completed his hat trick to make it 8-1.

A further 2 substitutions were made at this point. Chris Heath and making way for and Kieron Rix.

The away fans at this point had seen enough and started to make their way home. They perhaps should have stayed another minute more as Goods Office scored a 2nd, nothing more than a consolation.

Hodgsons finished the match of with goals from Danny Cartwright, Karl Wallis and captain Paul Silvester.

The man of the match award went to hat trick hero Adam Foster who scored his first goals away from home this season and worked tirelessly all match.

Hodgsons have just 4 league games remaining. This Saturday (10th April) see’s Hodgsons entertain Howden Amateurs in what is the tanners final home game of the season.
