Once again Beverley Town Cricket Club had three wins last weekend with the 1st, 2nd and 4th XIs all recording impressive wins, losing a total of only ten wickets in the process.
Beverley record wins against Malton & Old Malton, Sewerby and Gilberdyke on what proved to be a very successful day for the club.
Beverley Town Cricket Club U11s were back in action this week as they faced a decent Welton CC side at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
Batting first Beverley concluded their innings with a score of 149 which proved not to be enough as Welton replied by finishing their turn with bat on 189.

It was heartening to see Beverley and Sutton field sides containing young (and some old) players and score almost 450 runs between them in a competitive good-natured manner.
To score 248 and lose comfortably could be quite disheartening but the Beverley Town Cricket Club’s 1st XI bounced back on Sunday with a very good performance and win against Easingwold in the quarter final of the Premier League Cup.

Beverley Town Cricket Club’s 4th XI secured their first win of the season when they beat Skirlaugh at Norwood Recreation Ground. Richard Thompson (65) and Neil Graham (32) rescued Beverley who were 20 for 4 at one stage.
Beverley Town Cricket Club’s 3rd XI moved to the top of the Alliance Premier when they recorded an easy 8-wicket win over newly promoted Newland at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
Beverley Town 1st XI concluded the 2011 season with a home tie against Clifton Alliance knowing that a victory would secure the runners up berth. The day started well with skipper Alan Acklam winning the toss and giving Clifton first use of another typically good Norwood Park track. As has been the case for much of the season the opening pair of Simon Roe and Matthew Mudd bowled superbly well…
Beverley 1st XI moved up to second place in the York Premier Division with a narrow two-wicket win at Sessay.
