Tribute To Beverley’s Historic Shipbuilding Past To Be Officially Opened

A tribute to Beverley’s shipbuilding past is to be officially opened this week. Located by the River Hull on Grove Hill road the tribute highlights an industry that deserves to be remembered.

Employing hundreds of people the industry located in Beverley built over 1000 ships. The first iron ships were built in Beverley back in 1882 by Henry and Joseph Scarr.

A scheme that was launched nearly 10 years ago to help women with post-natal depression is to embark on a post-Covid campaign to help a wider range of people after securing funding from a business in Hull.

In the Pink, which was set up in 2012 by Fitmums and Friends, is being sponsored by AA Global Language Services to cover the cost of employing a part-time coordinator who will build a network of volunteers.

Hull Fly-Tipper Ordered To Pay £400 For Dumping Box Of Wrapping Paper In Paull

A fly-tipper from Hull has been ordered to pay more than £400 after he dumped a large box of Christmas wrapping paper in Paull.

Mike Morley, 32, of Romford Grove, Hull, disposed of the full box in a ditch in Hedon Road in the village, south of Hull, after agreeing to take the work friend’s waste to a household waste recycling site.
