The council has commissioned specialist consultants The Retail Group to provide business growth workshops, which will provide practical ideas and suggestions about how SMEs can adapt, evolve and improve their performances over the coming months.

Hull City Council Commits £20,000 To City’s Young Entrepreneurs

Hull City Council has committed a further investment of £20,000 to support young entrepreneurs in the city.

The grant follows £20,000 issued by the local authority from May to August last year, which was critical to drawing in further private sector funding to support young entrepreneurs.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is consulting on a Draft Flood Risk Sequential and Exception Test Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) from Monday, 18 January to Friday, 5 March 2021.

Supplementary planning documents provide more detailed advice or guidance on the application of policies in the East Riding Local Plan. The current Local Plan provides for the amount, location and type of development in the East Riding until the year 2029. The Local Plan is currently being reviewed.

From Sunday 17 January bus company East Yorkshire will be making temporary changes to some buses, in response to the national lockdown.

A small number of late-night journeys will be suspended, and some frequent buses in Hull will run slightly less often due to lower numbers of people travelling.
