Afternoons of fine music will feature throughout July as the Orangery Concerts take place at Sewerby Hall and Gardens.
The first concert of the month, on Thursday, 7 July at 2-3pm, is the Driffield Ukulele Band. Listen, sing, tap your feet and rattle your jewellery to this fantastic band, covering a wide range of music, including pop, folk and country, jazz and blues, and contemporary rock.
Next month sees the return to Beverley, Yorkshire, of the New Paths music festival.
The inaugural festival took place in Beverley last year and immediately established New Paths as one of the most innovative classical musical festivals in the country.
Alexander Grainger, 24, is back in Beverley to sing the tenor solo with the East Riding County Choir at their performance of Dvorak’s Stabat Mater on 7th May at Beverley Minster.
East Riding County Choir will be performing Elijah by Felix Mendelssohn in Beverley Minster on Saturday 3 May at 7.30pm. The soloists will be Sally Harrison (soprano) Fiona Kimm (contralto) James Edwards (tenor) and Robert Rice (baritone).
