Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards have revealed the shortlist which includes five entries from Beverley.
Beverley Puppet Festival, Newbegin House, Butt Farm Caravan, Camping & Glamping site, ‘What Was Here?’ Mobile App and Atom Bar Beverley have all made the shortlist in the prestigious East Yorkshire awards.
Awards that reward the region’s best, brightest, most successful, and innovative tourism businesses will return in 2022 and will continue to be a route to national recognition.
The 2022 Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards, the REYTAs, organised by tourism body Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY), has been officially relaunched culminating in an awards event in November 2022.

Work has begun at three East Riding of Yorkshire Council sites to decarbonise the buildings following the award of Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) funding.
Phase 1 of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) provided £1 billion in grants, reflecting the public sector’s role in meeting the Government’s net-zero commitment by 2050. The Council was successful in receiving £1.9 million of funding from this scheme.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has announced that the popular Bridlington Park and Ride bus service will start on Saturday, 9 April and will run until 30 October, seven days a week.
The Park and Ride site near South Cliff Holiday Park will be open from 7am – 8pm, and charges will apply between those times. Transport links into town will start at 9.30am; times of the last bus back to the site will vary throughout the season.

The People in Business Awards (PIBA) are accepting nominations now for their trio of celebrations with the Hull & East Yorkshire People in Business Awards back for the third year and now joined by the Northern Lincolnshire People in Business Awards and the Yorkshire Coast People in Business Awards.
The organisers of The Business Day have announced that this year’s event will be in-person, taking place on Friday 10 June at Bridlington Spa. The headline speaker will be Jo Malone CBE, Founder & Creative Director of Jo Loves.
The Business Day is an annual networking event tailored to a day of discovery insight, with nearly 700 business leaders coming together for the event that will be again be hosted by Gyles Brandreth.
The popular young people’s music event, ‘Let’s Rock’, returns on Saturday, 22 January at the Royal Hall, Bridlington Spa, at 6pm. The event showcases the work of young bands, groups and solo performers from across the East Riding and Hull. Over 100 young people of all ages and abilities will be sharing their music.
