HULL : Space Urchins Invade Hull Libraries

An Art and Education project from Hull based Artist Andi Dakin in partnership with Hull Culture and Leisure, Hull City Council and Hull 2017: and supported by Arts Council England has launched.

Hull has twelve public libraries and during the next three months throughout our UK City of Culture’s ‘ Roots and Routes’ season, Space Urchins will be invading these buildings.

Through one-to-one messaging and push notifications, the Start4Life BFF gives mums 24/7 access to expert NHS advice in a friendly, accessible way.

Graham Stuart, MP for Beverley and Holderness, will visit Sand le Mere Holiday Village near Withernsea on Friday to officially open the park for the new holiday season. His visit comes as part of English Tourism Week.

He will be shown round by General Manager Amby Tatla to see how the park has spent almost £1 million in the past year to improve infrastructure and add new caravan pitches to increase capacity.

The pub reopened on 8 April 2016 after a refit that removed all the TVs and jukebox, transforming it into a proper ‘Chatter’ pub – and it has been so successful that Neil thinks his appeal for crowdfunding will be very popular.

A much improved Myton Warriors side made this a real competition at the Beverley leisure centre, matching the Beverley Braves for effort for the full hour, but the Braves had the upper hand with regards to skill levels and this showed throughout.

MOTM Ollie Gresswell led from the front as in recent weeks and was the pick of the forwards, just edging a fine supporting cast of Jack Dixon, Alex Nuttall and Owen Lightfoot with Dixon powering over for a early brace of tries in typical fashion, Owen Miller adding the conversions.

Budding fashion designers from East Riding College and Driffield School took part in the annual Lets Waste Less Textiles fashion competition, which was organised by officers from East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s waste and recycling team.
