Hull’s City Open Top Bus Tours Return – And They Are Better Than Ever

Hull’s open top city tour will return for 2018, and this time it’ll run for even longer. The Hull Explorer open top tour bus was launched in Summer 2017, taking visitors on a guided tour around the city to see Hull’s most iconic sights, such as Queen Victoria Square, Old Town, Hull Minster, The Deep and the Marina.

Run by local bus company EYMS, will run for the early May bank holiday weekend and May half term this year, as well as an extended run over the summer holidays and follows what was a successful 2017 season.

A new solo sculpture exhibition by David Sprakes will be at Beverley Art Gallery in the Treasure House from Saturday, 5 May to Saturday, 30 June.

The free exhibition includes fifty sculptures with drawings and research. The work is inspired by landscape and east coast vistas where sculptures in bronze, aluminium, steel, marble and acrylic evoke a sense of ageing, time and weathering.

Olympic Gold Medallist Phelan Hill To Take Part In Beverley 10K

Beverley Athletic Club say they are excited to announce the news that Olympic gold and bronze medal-winning rower Phelan Hill MBE will be competing in the 25th running of the Pittaway Beverley 10k road race, on Sunday 13 May 2018.

As cox, Phelan steered the Mens Eight to bronze at the London 2012 Olympics and onto gold in Rio 2016. He has also coxed the Mens Eights to three successive rowing World Championship golds.
