Beverley Team,  AC Maldini played a tight close game against a Hull City Ex Tigers squad including Wembley goal scoring hero Dean Windass, Nathan Doyle, Pete Skipper, Tim Hotte and Adam Lowthorpe wearing the black and Amber shirts

The game was in aid of Life For a Kid a Hull based charity who do so much good work for disabled children and their families in this area.

A busy day at the Norwood Recreation Ground saw Beverley Town Cricket Club lift two of the three junior cricket cups.

On a surprisingly low scoring day none of the teams batting first reached 100 runs. The Under 11s kicked off proceedings by posting 89 for 8 from their 20 overs against a very good Welton side that had beaten Beverley earlier in the season.

A new mini display on an intriguing East Riding figure has opened at the Treasure House in Beverley.

Albert Neville Medforth (1924-2007) was the Director of the East Yorkshire Aero Company in the 1950s & 1960s, and his primary goal in life was to restart flying from the former Hedon Aerodrome, an airfield which had been in use for ten years prior to World War Two. Although ultimately unsuccessful in this venture, he did eventually found an airfield in Paull, which was open until the early-1980s.

East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is celebrating the publication of NHS England’s annual assessment that demonstrates the CCG has improved its overall rating from ‘Requires improvement’ in 2016/17 to ‘Good’ for 2017/18.

The improved rating reflects a positive year for the CCG across a range of areas including improved performance on a range of clinical indicators making a real difference to patients’ lives, effectively managing changes to services, robust delivery of their financial and efficiency plans, and ongoing positive stakeholder engagement.
