Friends of Longcroft School Raise £250

Friends of Longcroft School held their annual coffee morning at Toll Gavel United Church Hall this morning. The fair weather made it a fantastic morning raising over £250, nudging them a little nearer to the target needed for a new mini bus. Benefit Fraudster Found Guilty

A former Woodmansey resident has been handed a conditional discharge after admitting benefit fraud. Jonathan Jackson, formerly of Hull Road, Woodmansey, had failed to declare that his partner had started working.  Mr Jackson continued to receive benefits and fraudulently claimed £3,105 housing benefit and £1,247.89 council tax benefit between August 2007 and December 2009.
