Beverley hosted the first event in the new Yorkshire Urban Orienteering League last Sunday. Organised by Humberside and Lincolnshire Orienteers (HALO) the event attracted 48 competitors some of whom had travelled considerable distances. The caterers of Beverley Minster held a shoppers lunch, on the menu was beef stew and dumplings and the crowds certainly turned up to enjoy a hot meal in the Minster Parish Hall.
