The Yorkshire Regiment marched through the streets of Beverley today as over 20,000 people turned up to welcome them home from Iraq. Beverley Bee Keepers Day, members of the public were invited to an open day by the Beverley Bee Keepers on Long Lane in the Millennium Orchard, products produced with honey and bee’s wax were also on sale. There was a good turnout at the Skills Fair organised by local MP Graham Stuart on Monday. The event took place at the Beverley Leisure Centre and was targeting young people providing free advice on how they can gain the skills needed to promote themselves in the job market.

The Arched topped bus is on display outside the Beverley Arms Hotel, the bus which was adapted so it could pass through North Bar has a curved roof. The hotel also hosted an outdoor Art exhibition with lots of local works being displayed.
St Mary’s Church in Beverley as part of the North Celebrations is giving guided tours of showing off actual stocks that were used in the town. Other items too were on display in the Priest Room. Many of the things on display were hundreds of years old. Tours will continue from midday on Sunday the 12th July 2009.

St Mary’s Church in Beverley opened it door and grounds to the public in their annual fund raising event. Members of the church took advantage of the good weather to serve free tea and cakes to members of the public who came. The event which was raising money for St Mary’s uniformed youth groups, the Guides, Brownies & GL & CGB.
