Premier Calendar Race

The East Yorkshire Classic is one of twelve UK races afforded Premier Calendar status by British Cycling in 2009. Riders set off from New Walk in Beverley and followed a traditional East Yorkshire circuit that is based around the villages of Huggate and Millington before returning to Beverley to complete 2 ¾ laps of a circuit making the overall distance a staggering 98 miles! Beverley Races 14/7

Tuesday was race day in Beverley and hundreds of people turned out to enjoy an afternoon of racing at the Beverley Racecourse. Although it did not actually rain, the sun kept hiding behind dark clouds but the race-goers did not allow that to spoil their fun.
