Conservative Defects To LibDems Saying ERYC Is Not Democratic

In a dramatic move at East Riding Council Annual General Meeting, Conservative Councillor Charlie Bayram crossed the floor at the start of the meeting to join the Liberal Democrats on the  Opposition benches.

The defection has also prompted the local LibDems to say they think there will be a seismic shift from Conservative to Lib Dem at the next local elections.

A man from Hull who advertised a waste removal service on Facebook has been ordered to pay £1,815 after dumping a resident’s rubbish in a layby near Howden.

Audrius Zigmantas, of Doncaster Street, Hull, admitted he and a friend collected the waste from a resident in Cottingham, using his van, but he claimed it was his friend who disposed of the items.
