In a successful day for Beverley AC, four of its runners made the top 10 places of last Weekend’s Haltemprice 10k.
Beverley AC’s Carla Stansfield was the fastest woman in the first race in the 2014/2015 East Yorkshire Cross Country series, held last Sunday at Bishop Wilton.
It was a clean sweep for Beverley AC athletes at last weekend’s JSR College Canter cross country races, held at Bishop Burton College.

Beverley Athletic Club’s runners scooped age group prizes in last Sunday’s Humber Bridge 10k road race. Run by City of Hull AC, this is a well-established and popular race which has been growing for the last few years.
There was a fantastic atmosphere in Beverley last Sunday when a record 1299 runners completed the twenty first Hall Construction Group Beverley 10k.
13 Beverley AC members joined over 36000 other runners and one of the strongest ever elite fields last Sunday for the 2014 London Marathon.
Athletes from local running clubs and from further afield gathered at Great Hatfield last Sunday to take part in the Hornsea 1/3 Marathon. Beverley AC put in an excellent performance, fielding the winner of the women’s race and two top-ten runners in the men’s race.
Beverly AC members took part in the prestigious 6 and 12 stage Northern Road Relays at Heaton Park, Manchester. Due to the larger numbers of male runners, the men take part in the 12 stage event and women the 6.
Around two hundred people took part in the Beverley Mile in aid of Sports Relief. Held at Beverley Racecourse runners were given the choice of three distances on tackling a tricky Beverley Westwood course.
Saturday 1st March saw the 3rd annual Golden Fleece Circuit, an off-road race organised by South Cave Scouts.
Last Sunday a number of Beverley AC runners joined the field for the East Hull 20 mile road race. This is a popular event for long distance runners from the East Riding and beyond
