Pride in Hull will be celebrated this year through a new online exhibition hosted by Hull Museums, working with both Pride in Hull and Yorkshire MESMAC, and organisers want you to be part of it.

Pride in Our City will feature people’s pictures, stories, videos, and memories of the annual event as well as documenting individuals’ experiences of being part of the LGBT+ community.

Bridlington Park And Ride Buses And Land Trains Will Start On 4 July

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has announced that the popular Bridlington Park and Ride bus service will start on Saturday, 4 July, and will run until early November, seven days a week.

Whilst the COVID-19 restrictions are in place, customers will have to wear a face-covering if they wish to travel on the Park and Ride. There will also be reduced capacity on the Park and Ride buses to ensure social distancing.

The Humber Bridge toll booths are set to reopen following the recent government announcements about the ‘Lockdown Exit Plan’ and going back to work.

The booths were closed on Sunday, March 29, as part of the measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 as the country went into lockdown, and since that date, all traffic crossing the bridge has been using the open road ‘TAG Lane’ (ORT).

The award-winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park is delighted at the news that the government has reviewed its decision on current restrictions on the reopening of zoos and safari parks.

The park had taken a severe financial hit as even with 70% of staff furloughed there are still high care and feed bills for their animals. The lockdown has cost the park around £5 million in lost revenue and is impacting its ability to carry out award-winning conservation projects.
