STA International Learn To Swim Programme Coming To Bridlington

East Riding Leisure Bridlington are introducing the STA (Swimming Teachers’ Association) International Learn to Swim Programme throughout their swimming lessons programme, from baby and preschool swimming sessions through to platinum awards for advanced swimming and junior lifeguard courses.

The new programme will be fun and exciting, and will help children and young people progress through levels and achieve, by virtue of their success tracker and Health and Wellbeing books.

Organised by the East Riding Carers Support Service, the full-day event which was held at Driffield Showground, gave organisations from across the area the opportunity to come together to explore and discuss the support and services available to the estimated 40,000 carers in the East Riding.

DRIFFIELD : Cyclist Killed in Collision Named

The cyclist who sadly died following a collision with a lorry near Sledmere on Friday, November 25, has been named as Ian Milner, 55, of Driffield.

Tragically, he and his wife Tracey also lost their son Owen in a road traffic collision in May, 2014, whilst he was riding his motorbike on the B1248 near Wansford.

Cadets will soon join the ranks of Humberside Police thanks to a £10,000 donation from leading Hull firm Arco, as part of the work of the High Sheriff on behalf of the Tribune Trust.

We have already recruited 30 young people – aged 15 to 18 – from across the force, who will be taking up their posts in January. And from April we will be recruiting a further 60 young people, who will be in post by September.
