A group of local women have come together to help raise funds for their friend, Jenni McCathy after she was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer.
They are trying to raise £1000 in total that will support their friend, MacMillan Nurses and Breast Cancer.
Big Crowds Gather For Beverley’s Christmas Light Switch On
Thousands of people gathered in Saturday Market as the Christmas Lights in Beverley were officially switched on by the Mayor of Beverley Cllr Robert Begnett.
Once formalities were completed at the Market Cross a festive parade led by the Beverley Church Lads and Girls Brigade led the crowds through the streets to lighting up the various trees.

The cyclist who sadly died following a collision with a lorry near Sledmere on Friday, November 25, has been named as Ian Milner, 55, of Driffield.
Tragically, he and his wife Tracey also lost their son Owen in a road traffic collision in May, 2014, whilst he was riding his motorbike on the B1248 near Wansford.

HULL : Police Launch Cadet Force As They Aim To Engage With The Youth
Cadets will soon join the ranks of Humberside Police thanks to a £10,000 donation from leading Hull firm Arco, as part of the work of the High Sheriff on behalf of the Tribune Trust.
We have already recruited 30 young people – aged 15 to 18 – from across the force, who will be taking up their posts in January. And from April we will be recruiting a further 60 young people, who will be in post by September.
