Hull’s popular Playday Festival returns to Queens Gardens on Wednesday 7 August.
The 16th festival in Hull gets underway from 11am until 3pm and Queens Gardens will become a huge outdoor playground where children, young people and families can have a fun-filled day, taking part in the annual celebration of the importance of play.
Lee Wardell says it is fantastic to be back trading in Beverley’s Historic Core. Lee swapped the retail park for Beverley where he is managing Brook Taverner, a men’s clothing store.
Just weeks after opening, Lee also says that Brook Taverner have added to retail options for men in the town.
Beverley Town Tennis Club has been awarded £21,000 funding from East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
The funding is part of Commuted Sums, collected from nearby housing developers. Funding has been awarded to resurface two existing Macadam Tennis Courts at the club, which is based on Norwood.

MP Graham Stuart says he is extremely disappointed with the decision to close Beverley’s Crown Post Office.
Mr Stuart had joined others in campaigning to keep the postal service at the office in Register Square. The MP also met with bosses of the postal service handing them a petition signed by residents.
Beverley Crown Post Office will be closed and the service transferred to nearby WH Smith store on Toll Gavel.
Despite the public consultation and intervention by local councillors and the MP, Post Office bosses confirmed it will close.
