We Are Delighted To Be Named As Mayoral Charity Says Jane Tattan

Jane Tattan the Chairman of local charity  says she is ‘delighted’ with the news that the new Mayor of Beverley has named N.U.R.S.E. as one of his chosen charities for the year.

Cllr Paul McGrath was elected as the new Mayor of Beverley last week at the Beverley Guildhall taking over from Martin Cox. He and his wife selected N.U.R.S.E. and Dove House Hospice as the two good causes they will raise money during his term in office.

Jane said;

“We are delighted to have been chosen as one of his mayoral charities for the year. This will be the third time N.U.R.S.E. has been chosen which we are obviously very happy about.”

“We intend to ask the new Mayor of Beverley and his wife to open this year’s raft race in July, which is a good fund-raiser for us.”

N.U.R.S.E. who also help organise the very popular darts knock-out competition could be looking at a donation of around £2000 if figures on previous years are to go by.

Entries for the N.U.R.S.E. annual raft race on Beverley Beck are still being taken, anyone wishing to enter a raft can do so by calling 01482 872569.
