East Riding of Yorkshire Council is currently consulting with businesses, visitors and residents in Beverley on their views of a trial pedestrian and cycle scheme that has been in place in Saturday Market since May 2021.
Liberal Democrat councillors on Beverley Town Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council have given their support for plans to pilot a part-pedestrianisation scheme in Beverley’s Saturday Market.
The majority of businesses surveyed are overwhelmingly behind the scheme, which will see an extension to the pavement area from the Grapes to the Yorkshire Bank, taking in the King’s Head and businesses on the east of Saturday Market as well as Browns.

The event feature an afternoon and evening that was themed around Soul Music from years gone by while the DJ’s who ended the night by spinning classic music on vinyl.
Despite the cold weather some people ventured out into the town centre of Beverley for a night out around the bars including The Grapes, Kubana Bar and the Kings head Hotel.
