Special Day For Ethan Dalton In The McCain Yorkshire Coast 10K

A large contingent from Beverley Athletic Club travelled to Scarborough last Sunday to take part in the McCain Yorkshire Coast 10k and fun run. With a field of more than 1000 runners in the 10k the competition was strong but there were some notable performances from Beverley athletes and 14 of them finished in the top ten for their age group. Fourteen athletes from Beverley Athletic Club travelled to Bridlington last Sunday for the annual Brid Half. The challenging undulating course takes runners out into the East Yorkshire countryside via Sewerby, Flamborough and Bempton and returns via Sewerby to a finish on the sea front.  It was a pleasant sunny day and conditions were good for running. Start Fitness Northern Athletics Autumn Road Relays

Three teams of runners from Beverley Athletic Club travelled to Birchwood in Warrington last Saturday to take part in the Start Fitness Northern Athletics Autumn Road Relays. The event attracted a large number of athletes from all over the north of England and the competition was fierce. Darran Bilton of City of Leeds AC won last week’s Airkool Walkington 10k for the second year in succession. He completed the challenging course in 33 minutes, 22 seconds ahead of his nearest rival, Phill Taylor of Bridlington RR. The annual Humber Bridge 10k road race took place last Sunday and members of Beverley Athletic Club joined a field of over three hundred runners to race across the bridge and back.
