From Sunday 1 September 2019 local bus company East Yorkshire will be running more early morning services.

Beverley and Holderness MP, Graham Stuart, has accelerated his campaign to secure £40 million of funding from the government to transform the dangerous Jock’s Lodge junction. Graham said that the East Riding deserves substantial investment in its infrastructure following major regeneration deals for other areas across the North.
Having met the Transport Secretary to make the case in person, Graham has now written to Jake Berry, Minister for the Northern Powerhouse, and the Chief Executive of Transport for the North, Barry White, to lobby them to support the funding request.
Local Councillor Denis Healy has thanked the rail company, Northern Rail, after they announced they would not be cutting their service between Beverley to Doncaster and Sheffield.
Cllr Healy, added that news the service will remain part of their May 2018 time table is a welcome early Christmas Gift for the town.
Cllr Denis Healy is appealing to Northern Rail to reconsider its proposal to scrap Beverley’s direct train service to Doncaster and Sheffield and beyond from next May.
The train operator is consulting stakeholders about a proposed new timetable to take effect from May 2018, which will see the end of through trains from Beverley.

The free events will take place between 2-4pm in the Harbour Suite, at Bridlington Spa, and 3-5pm at The KP Club, with those attending needing to register online.
NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is celebrating after a double victory at two prestigious awards last night.
At the Yorkshire and Humber NHS Regional Recognition Awards, which were held in Sheffield, the CCG’s Chief Officer, Emma Latimer, and Chief Finance Officer, Emma Sayner, won a joint award in the Leading Systems Transformation and were runners-up in the Inspirational Leadership category.
The East Yorkshire Judo Academy took four players to this year’s British Championships in Sheffield.
First to compete was Logan Campbell who performed superbly in winning three contests in his first venture into the Cadet category before finally bowing out.
