Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart is pushing for a fair deal for blue badge clock users with his constituent Katrina Gardner – an active thalidomide campaigner.

Ms Gardner, of Sproatley, is one of many thalidomides who are able to drive without use of their arms and has qualified for the Government’s Blue Badge scheme

Successful Coach Campaign Extended For A Further Year

A coach campaign launched by Visit Hull & East Yorkshire (VHEY) to attract visitors to Beverley will be extended for another 12 months after helping raise the profile of the town and increase bookings by 30%.

The campaign was a finalist in two categories, Coach Tourism Innovation and Coach Friendly Destination, at the National Coach Tourism Awards 2016 and was praised by judges.

Philip Nixon from Driffield was not driving his car when it was issued with a parking ticket on the pedestrian area of Wednesday Market.
