East Riding of Yorkshire Council has received a confirmed National Lottery grant of £724,000 towards a £968,869 scheme to deliver The Humber Bridge Country Park Experience.

Seabirds breeding along the Yorkshire coast will be afforded additional protection, following the expected designation of a new Marine Protected Area (MPA) around Flamborough and Filey.

An online application form has been launched to help speed up the process for people applying for, or renewing blue badge parking permits.
Now the new application process, which has been developed by East Riding of Yorkshire Council alongside the East Riding Disability Action Group, could see those who are automatically eligible receive their blue badge within days rather than weeks.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s cabinet has agreed to award a contract for the extension and partial refurbishment of South Cliff Holiday Park, and work on the site will begin imminently.
The contract worth approximately £7.75 million is for a scheme to create an expansion of the park on to the adjacent agricultural land of the Wilsthorpe Estate.
