A long-serving East Riding foster carer has received the MBE in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
Helen Rawdon, who received the honour for services to fostering in the Queen’s Birthday Honours, was presented with the medal by the Prince of Wales.
Liberal Democrat Councillors have described plans to introduce a new review panel complete with a £10K allowance as disgraceful.

Councillors have agreed to increase the council’s part of the council tax charge in the East Riding by 3.99% for the 2020-21 financial year.
The increase, which was agreed at a Full Council meeting on 13 February, will raise £6.8million of additional income for the council and will result in an increase of £57.64 a year for a Band D property.
