It was conducted to help understand the attitudes of its customers towards the use of the council’s sports and leisure facilities when they are allowed to reopen.

Waste Recycling Site Opening Hours Now Extended

The council’s household waste recycling site at Weel, Beverley, will have its opening hours temporarily extended in a bid to control some traffic issues.

As of Tuesday 2 June, the site will open at 8am, two hours earlier than normal, and then close at the regular time of 5pm.

Confidential Webchat Launched To Provide Help And Support For Domestic Abuse Victims

A confidential online chat facility has been launched by East Riding of Yorkshire Council to give those who may be suffering from domestic abuse another way of accessing help.

The webchat has been set up by the council’s domestic violence and abuse partnership and gives those experiencing, or at risk of, domestic abuse the chance to speak directly to an independent domestic abuse advocate.
