Big Response To East Riding Leisure Customer Survey

There has already been a big response to the online survey launched by East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Health and Wellbeing service.

It was conducted to help understand the attitudes of its customers towards the use of the council’s sports and leisure facilities when they are allowed to reopen.

Over 2,600 responses have been received so far.

The information obtained from the survey will inform the council’s future planning and will help the service adapt its programmes and operations to best meet customers’ concerns and needs, as the service emerges from these difficult times.

, the portfolio holder for , culture and leisure, said: “These are unprecedented times for our leisure facilities and in particular our East Riding Leisure Centres. We could not have predicted just a few months ago that they would all be closed, with no indication of a reopening date at this stage.

“I am absolutely delighted with the level of response so far – I know that many more people will want to let us know their thoughts on the future provision of this vital service.”

“It’s an opportunity for our customers to tell us about the kind of leisure activities they are taking part in during the closure period; how they feel about the eventual reopening of our Leisure Centres; and what will be important for them when they do reopen.”

The survey will run until 20 June.
