Litter Pickers Donated To Swanland Village Association

Christine Walker, Litter Picking Coordinator for the Swanland Village Association organises a team of over 40 volunteers, young and young at heart, who participate in weekly litter pickings in the centre of Swanland village.

Last month, as part of the Keep Britain Tidy September Clean, a team of around 20 carried out a village-wide litter pick, which they do twice per year, collecting 14 bags of litter in total from the hedges and verges around the village. One volunteer has also collected, over time, a disappointing 145 cigarette butts.
