Developer To Drive Filling Station Project After Winning Appeal And Costs Award

A developer is poised to press on with plans for a new filling station and shop in East Yorkshire after winning an appeal against refusal by the local planning authority.

Lovel Capital Projects, part of Lovel Property Holdings Ltd, was also awarded costs against East Riding of Yorkshire Council after a planning Inspector found the Council behaved unreasonably in dealing with the application.

“The response was amazing,” said Samaritans Director Rob Carlisle, “We can’t believe the generosity of people donating so much money.”

The first prize winner of Genuine Gents hair and skin products including aftershave, hair tonic, skincare product, and wax was Lewis Nightingale; the second prize of a full-service treatment and the third prize of additional treatment at his next haircut was were also won.

A £1.2m project to update two pumping stations that reduce flood risk and drain low lying agricultural areas into the River Hull is complete.

Located between Driffield and Beverley, the Hempholme and Wilfholme pumping stations have been refurbished to extend their working life so they can continue to function, draining land and reducing flood risk in the area during periods of heavy rainfall, more efficiently and effectively into the future.
