Hengate Works Cause Traffic Mayhem

Beverley was brought to a grinding halt yesterday as the scheduled Hengate Roadworks began.  This was the first of – Sunday’s that Hengate would be closed off to traffic as the work on removing about eight inches of the original carriageway and replacing damaged ironwork. Hengate Road Closure

Road reconstruction works are scheduled to be carried out  on Sundays starting later this month. The work will start on Sunday , 11th October and will be undertaken on seven consecutive Sundays except  8th November 2009 which is Remembrance Sunday. Rain Storm in Beverley

Yesterday evening Beverley was hit by a rain storm, these pictures were taken on Manor Road near the junction of St Mary’s Walk where the road was completely flooded, cars seemed to cope though the pedestrians had a much tougher journey home.
