Local film lovers are being invited to join Beverley Film Society for a slice of birthday cake to celebrate 10 years of international cinema in Beverley.
The Society’s committee will be welcoming members and guests at 7.00pm on Thursday 8th December, half an hour ahead of the regular monthly film screening at 7.30pm.
This weeks edition includes photos from the Beverley Georgian Festival closing ceremony, Masked Georgian Ball at Beverley Minster, Grace & Belle’s Birthday and the all sports action from the weekend.
Today saw the Beverley Georgian Festival come to a brilliant. Mid-morning the Arbeau troupe in full 18th cent. costumes began to dance beside the Market Cross.

Beverley’s Georgian festival will feature a stage adaptation of Jane Austen’s posthumously published novel, Lady Susan, written by local writers, Mary Aherne and Sue Parr.
Beverley Georgian Festival is now less than a hundred days away. It begins on Saturday 13th September with Heritage Open Day, when Georgian houses and some gardens, will be open from 1030 to 1630, free of all charge and welcoming all comers.
The Beverley Georgian Festival committee has been awarded a grant of £8,800 by Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for a project to celebrate the 300th Anniversary of the Beverley Market Cross and succession of George I, it was announced today.
