EAST YORKSHIRE : Building Carer Friendly Communities

Building carer friendly communities was the theme of a multi-agency event which has taken place in the East Riding to mark Carers Rights Day.

Organised by the East Riding Carers Support Service, the full-day event which was held at Driffield Showground, gave organisations from across the area the opportunity to come together to explore and discuss the support and services available to the estimated 40,000 carers in the East Riding.

Festive Activities At Sewerby Hall And Gardens

As part of a programme of activities provided by East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s museum team, visitors will have an opportunity to get to grips with some of the site’s artefacts.

Toys, Kitchenalia and even some prehistoric items will be displayed for people to see and touch. Volunteers will be on hand to chat and provide explanations for the items on Wednesday, 30 November at 11.30am and 1pm.

The cyclist who sadly died following a collision with a lorry near Sledmere on Friday, November 25, has been named as Ian Milner, 55, of Driffield.
