On Your Bike : Cherry Burton Pre-School Families Cycle Humber Bridge

In a true show of community spirit, families from Cherry Burton and beyond gathered at the Humber Bridge last weekend to take part in a sponsored bike ride across the bridge to raise vital funds for local charity Cherry Burton Pre-school.

Despite a ferocious wind, supporters of this local charity in ages ranging from one year old to 73 years old, battled across the bridge on bikes, trikes, scooters and on foot, to the finish line where they were greeted by family and friends. All the children who took part have been busy earning sponsorship for this challenge and will altogether have raised around £700 for the Pre-school.

After only two months East Yorkshire Motor Services’ new mobile phone app has achieved the coveted 5 star rating on the App Store (and 4.7 stars on Google Play).

Launched on 3 April, by the end of May there had been 6,230 users with over 78,000 sessions and almost 480,000 screen views by local people using the app, and ticket sales have been increasing each week.
