Injunction For Rogue Trader Who Tricked Hull Residents

A rogue trader who tricked Hull residents into paying him for work he did not complete – and in some cases did not even start – has been ordered to stop and repay the consumers over £8,800.

Sean Ross, 35, of East Hull, who traded as Example Bathrooms, failed to comply with his obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and breached an undertaking to repay the consumers he had dealt with.

Graham Says East Riding Is Due Record Investment For Jock’s Lodge Revamp

Beverley and Holderness MP, Graham Stuart, has accelerated his campaign to secure £40 million of funding from the government to transform the dangerous Jock’s Lodge junction. Graham said that the East Riding deserves substantial investment in its infrastructure following major regeneration deals for other areas across the North.

Having met the Transport Secretary to make the case in person, Graham has now written to Jake Berry, Minister for the Northern Powerhouse, and the Chief Executive of Transport for the North, Barry White, to lobby them to support the funding request.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is reminding motorists that the second phase of a £600,000 scheme of major road improvements is about to begin on the A614.

The work will be carried out by Britcon Limited on behalf of the council, and is funded by a contribution from the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding Local Enterprise Partnership’s Local Growth Fund. This funding has been secured following the submission of a successful bid by the council.
