The Advantage Coast Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) Programme is a £6.9 million investment from the European Social Fund and the European Regional Development Fund and is managed by East Riding of Yorkshire Council in partnership with Scarborough Borough Council, and aims to support less affluent communities within Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey.

The next ‘Cover the Coast’ walk of 11.5 miles will take place on Friday, 5 October at 10am from Sewerby Hall to Flamborough.

Beverley Beat Old Rishworthians To Go Second In Table
In the end a comfortable win which took Beverley RUFC up to second place in Yorkshire One. After twenty minutes this match looked like being a whitewash.
Beverley were then already twenty four points up with a four try bonus point in the bag. But by the time the game went into its last quarter it had all changed and Beverley, while not exactly hanging on, were certainly having their work cut out to finish with the win.
Local Lions Club Busy Organising 2018 Bonfire & Firework Display
The Beverley Westwood Lions Club is busy organising the Bonfire and Fireworks annual display to be held on Monday, 5th November on the Beverley Westwood Common.
President of the Lions Club, Alan Blenkharn, with the assistance from the Mayor, Cllr Bryan Pearson will have the honnour of lighting the bonfire to get the event officially underway.

Local Authors To Feature In The Festival Of Words
Local authors will be featured heavily in the East Riding Festival of Words – the new look literature festival coming to the area in October.
The festival will be officially launched by Val Wood at Beverley Art Gallery on Thursday, 18 October, at 7.30pm. Val will be giving an exclusive reading of her latest novel, ‘A Place to Call Home’, which will be published in November.

CCG Celebrates ‘Good’ Rating At Annual General Meeting
In this, the 70th year of our NHS, NHS East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) held its fifth annual general meeting (AGM) on Tuesday 18 September 2018. There was a fantastic turnout with around 70 people attending from members of the public, staff, councillors, voluntary and community services and provider services.
Jane Hawkard, Chief Officer, presented a number of the CCG’s achievements during 2017-18 which have all contributed to the CCG receiving an improved overall rating from NHS England as ‘Good’.
