Hull Maritime Museum is set to receive new ramps improving access to its main entrance of the striking building.
Hull City Council has successfully bid for £150,000 funding from the DCMS Wolfson Foundation to install two new access ramps and an access staircase to one of the three domes.
Hull-based internet service provider, purebroadband, has announced it has extended its network into Beverley following the acquisition of a local business, Relax Broadband.
The acquisition will allow the company to offer Beverley residents faster internet speeds and improved reliability with the roll-out of an extensive upgrade programme.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has received National Lottery funding of £8,943 which will be used to deliver the ‘Serves Tennis’ programme in Withernsea.
Part of the Active Communities Everywhere project, the programme aims to encourage young people in deprived areas to have access to fun and engaging tennis sessions. It is especially aimed at those children who would not otherwise have access to such activities.
