Yorkshire parents and their children spend less than half an hour a day of ‘real’ quality time together, according to a One Poll study.

Researchers found fathers and their daughters are at a loss, getting the least quality time together than any other parent-child combo, with a quarter of an hour less every week.

Plans to transform some of Hull’s maritime treasures have been given the go-ahead at the council’s Planning Committee.

East Yorkshire Transport Charity Launches Volunteer Recruitment Drive

The East Yorkshire community transport operator, Beverley Community Lift (BCL), has launched an appeal for new volunteers in the county as the charity approaches its 50th anniversary year.

The service helps dozens of people every week in the East Riding with car and minibus transport services, particularly those who have difficulties using public transport or have no access to a car. It operates in and around Beverley, Cottingham, Market Weighton, Holme-upon-Spalding-Moor and Pocklington.
