The Liberal Democrats plan to push their ideas later this week when the full council meets at County Hall on Wednesday.

Part-Pedestrianisation Pilot For Saturday Market Welcomed By Lib Dems
Liberal Democrat councillors on Beverley Town Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council have given their support for plans to pilot a part-pedestrianisation scheme in Beverley’s Saturday Market.
The majority of businesses surveyed are overwhelmingly behind the scheme, which will see an extension to the pavement area from the Grapes to the Yorkshire Bank, taking in the King’s Head and businesses on the east of Saturday Market as well as Browns.
East Riding Leisure To Reopen Most Leisure Centres On Saturday
East Riding Leisure is reminding its members and customers that it is to reopen most of its Leisure Centres on Saturday, 25 July.
East Riding Leisure Hornsea will not be reopening on that date, however, as redevelopment works continue on the site. East Riding Leisure South Cave will reopen on Monday, 27 July.

New figures published by NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) show that last year (2019/20) 1,580 people in the UK donated their organs after they died. In East Riding Of Yorkshire, 11 people gave the gift of life, by donating their organs after death.
