East Riding Libraries are reminding customers that they are still offering their ‘Order and Collect’ service – customers can either phone their library or order books and then collect from their specified East Riding Library once available. 

Books can be returned to any East Riding Library during opening hours and will be quarantined for three days before being cleaned and returned to shelves.

A new convenience store is opening at Beverley’s Flemingate centre to provide a valuable service to people in the town during the lockdown and beyond.

The One Stop store, next to the Premier Inn hotel and close to the entrance to Flemingate’s multi-storey car park, will sell groceries, toiletries and other daily essentials, as well as newspapers and magazines. It will be open seven days a week, from 7am each day.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is consulting on a Draft Flood Risk Sequential and Exception Test Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) from Monday, 18 January to Friday, 5 March 2021.

Supplementary planning documents provide more detailed advice or guidance on the application of policies in the East Riding Local Plan. The current Local Plan provides for the amount, location and type of development in the East Riding until the year 2029. The Local Plan is currently being reviewed.
