Hundreds Pay Their Respects On Remembrance Sunday In Beverley

Hundreds of people came out in the historic East Yorkshire Market town of Beverley to mark Remembrance Sunday. 

Large crowds lined the streets for the annual parade while Hengate Gardens was also full. In the gardens, a short service was held before local dignitaries and local group paid their respects.

Basic errors and ill-discipline abounded throughout.  Twelve penalties conceded in the first half alone says it all.  Rishworthians not so much achieved the victory as had it handed to them on a plate.

Beverley Theatre Company Bring Jekyll & Hyde To East Yorkshire

A new production by the Beverley Theatre Company (BTC) will be adapted from Robert Louis Stephenson’s famous novella ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ by Nicholas Briggs.

Many versions of the story of a doctor who transforms into the evil Mr Hyde have been adapted over the years, including Spencer Tracy’s 1941 film version and James Nesbitt’s 2007 BBC adaptation.

Teams in Beverley, East Yorkshire and across Vistry Yorkshire united to add a splash of colour to their working days. This was done to support Breast Cancer Now, a national charity. Thousands of people across the country participated in Breast Cancer Now's 'Wear it Pink' campaign. Staff did this by wearing pink at Vistry's head office and its Bovis and Linden Homes brands.
